About This Project

The main inspiration for Sandstone Villa was work of great modernistic architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Generous size of the site enabled to explore his idea of ‘never ending’ walls coming from landscape to the building creating a home space directly connected with its surrounding. This design incorporates number of passive sustainable ideas based on site, micro climate conditions and sunlight catching.  it was design to use rough sandstone which can be found locally in this location. Emphasising strong ideological and physical connection of the house with its environment . The whole complex consist of main house with recreation and leisure facility, guest house and summer barbecue house.
