About This Project

The goal for this design was to create an extension office building to existing industrial building. New development was to achieve both high quality space standards and sustainability. It was design to identify as an iconic image of the company and to show it’s strong dedication to environmental issues. Passive design elements including: orientation of building, balance of Sun Shading/access/ daylighting relative to seasons, including external louvers to reduce internal heat gain, high performance glazing, low embodied energy of materials, shallow depth plan for good natural daylightning, green roof, surface water absorption, use of indigenous planting and encourage biodiversity. The whole building was also design to easily accommodate future possible extension.
